Guidelines for Plenary, Symposia and Oral Presentation
Plenary and Symposia Sessions:
Presentations are a maximum of 25 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions. Please refer to the symposia booklet or contact your Symposium Chair for more information on your specific session.
Contributed Oral Presentations
Duration of oral presentations is 12 minutes maximum plus 3 minutes for questions, unless otherwise specified. Please refer to the program for specific details about your presentation.
Submission of PowerPoint Files
Please send your presentation as a .ppt file (not larger than 10 MB) not later than 24 h prior to your scheduled session to the following address: presentations@sip2025chile.cl
Alternatively, you may upload your oral presentation file (ppt) not later than 24 h prior to your scheduled session at the registration desk.
For sending and uploading your file please label your presentation number with the corresponding Division code (see below) followed by presentation number and the presenter´s name. Example: NE-10-Smith.ppt.
If you are a student presenter, please add “STU” to the file name. Example: STU- NE-11-Smith.ppt
Please use the following Divisions’ code below when labelling your files are:
BA= Bacteria
DBI= Diseases of Beneficial Invertebrates
FU= Fungi
Microbial Control= MC
Microsporidia= MI
Nematodes= NE
Viruses= VI
Poster Presentations
Poster presentations must be mounted on the panels on Tuesday morning. The Poster session will take place on Wednesday August 6th in the evening from 17.00 to 19.00. Sticky tape will be provided; pins may not be used.
Posters must be removed by noon on Thursday, or they will be discarded.
- Posters should be approximately 840 mm (2.8 ft) wide by 1190 mm (3.9 ft) tall (DIN/ISO A0). Format: Portrait NOT Landscape must be used
- Include the poster title at the top of your poster.
- The title should be followed by a list of authors and affiliations. Please highlight the presenting author.
- Text should be readable at 120 cm. A minimum font size of 28 is recommended.
There will be no facilities at the conference venue for poster printing or editing.
